The kid within us, playful and happy
everything's colorful yet imaginary.
can't figure out why it makes me smile
but it fits like bricks on a pile.
sure it's filled with struggle
hey, what's life if you won't stumble.
get up, stand up, dust it off, move on
before you know it, its long gone.
some rush towards thirty
when they reach it, wish they were twenty.
The kid within us, really lonely
wants to go back to mother's arms.. if only.
